IMPORTANT NOTIFICATION
Citizens of the Following Countries no longer need to obtain a visa prior to entry if the duration of stay is less than one (1) month:
United States, UK, France, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Austria, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Portugal, Ireland, Greece, Finland, South Korea, Spain, Monaco, Vatican, Iceland, Andorra, San Marino, Liechtenstein,Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Brunei, Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong.
GCC NATIONALS
Need for entry to Dubai are very different in the different nationalities and it is always wise to check before you travel regulations. Currently, every nationality in the UAE for a visa, except citizens of GCC countries (Gulf Cooperation Council: Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and Saudi Arabia), foreign residents of the GCC (certain nationalities and professions) and British citizens, the residence in the United Kingdom. The next EU-citizen can receive on arrival: Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Italy Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, Netherlands, of Norway, Portugal, San Marino, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the Vatican.
In addition, nationals from Australia, Brunei, Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore and South Korea in Asia and the United States and Canada with a visa on arrival.
GCC nationals can do to stay more or less long they. British citizens can stay for a month, then a visa for another two months. European, American, South African and Australian citizens can obtain a visit visa to the United Arab Emirates Embassy in their home countries before departure. OTHER NATIONALS
For all other nationalities, the visa must be applied for before the visitor enters the country from their own embassy, a local UAE sponsor or a local hotel.
VISAS THROUGH HOTELS
Tourists can get a tourist visa for a company or the hotel reservation for the first time in at least one night. You must fax / courier the hotel a copy of a passport as part of the reason for the visit (tourism is an acceptable reason) and date of arrival. You should also ensure that the hotel faxes you a copy of the visa when you are ready. Airlines require confirmation (preferably by fax, a copy of the document) that the visa is held before check-in at the airport. SERVICE VISA ENTRY APPLIED THROUGH A HOTEL:

The visa is valid for 14 days and 14 days after the date of issue of entry. The visa fee and the deposit varies from country to country.
